The Race Trim MotorSports Hour #29

Stop by the Garage this evening at 7pm for some pizza and a couple cold ones as the guys keep the lights on for a TGIF session. 

Did anyone see the CokeZero400 last Sunday night (wait, it was Monday morning) that NASCAR insisted on staging? If you did, you were 1 of a very small group of folks on the east coast that did. The guys wonder about a few isssues: In made-for-TV reality, did it matter that the race was run in an almost empty house at Daytona? Is "plate" racing just too dangerous for the series to condone, or should drastic changes result following the latest "Big One"?  If it ain't broke, does it really need fixing?

Fast forward in the short week, all 3 National Series are in Kentucky for what's so far been a rained-out mess. With new "aero rules" designed to improve the racing set to roll out for the QuakerState400, only AirTitans and jet dryers have rolled consistently for 2 days. But hey! The track's making $, the networks are making $, the concessions are making $, NASCAR is making $...who cares what the "fans" get or think? Oh yes...this show is going to get edgy, so join the conversation!!
