TWMS Power & Purpose With 7 Time NHRA Champ Tony Schumacher

    in Automotive

What goes together better than cars, drinking, and laughs?....What?.... Oh well actually our lawyers are saying that came out wrong....

How about just kicking back and talking about cars and the car-guy's world while enjoying a stiff drink, or tasty brew?  Ok we've been told that's better.  We will attempt to cover all of those bases in this weekly show where we present to you as much probably less-than-factual news, reviews, and updates on stuff car guys care about!

This week in our 99th TWMS episode; we discuss two great new "halo cars" from a couple of the most iconic performance brands! Following that we're joined by one of drag racing's most famous drivers.  NHRA 7 time champion Tony Schumacher takes a break from the ultra-competitive world of Top Fuel drag racing to shoot the S with us.  He gives us a first class look at what it's taken to become the winningest Top Fuel dragster driver in history, and reminds us it's just a Sunday drive compared to those who support him and fight for us all in the US Army.  Check him out at http://www.NHRA.com  Thanks for downloading & enjoy the show!

  • Thursday Night Thunder with Adam Sinclair

    in Sports

A few weeks ago, the show was plagued with technical difficulties, and this past week we had to deal with scheduling issues that led to a program filled with recorded interviews, songs, and lots of discussion.

This week, we hope to put all of those issues behind us, and welcome Cooper Tire Prototype Lite champion Kenton Koch, as well as Pirelli World Challenge Championships driver Adam Poland into the Thunderdome.

We also plan to welcome Robert Hight, who was gracious enough to provide us with a few moments of his time the other day to discuss the NHRA Countdown to the Championship, as well as a new contest.

Then, we shift gears and bring on Mazda Road to Indy driver Neil Alberico to talk a little about the USF2000 series.

Be sure to tune in for 300 mph+ of fun and excitement!

The Race Trim MotorSports Hour #40

    in Sports

The Monster Mile in Dover will be the first "cut-down" race of the NASCAR Chase and Maple Grove Raceway, in PA will be the half-way point of the NHRA "Countdown", so stop by the Frat House Sports "garage" on Sunday morning from 11 til 12:30 to get the latest news & notes!

Who'dathunkit? Kevin Harvick & Kyle Busch currently face elimination from championship eligibility despite obtaining 6 race wins during the regular season. Meanwhile, JGR and Toyota still maintain superiority after claiming the first 2 wins of the 10-race playoff thanks to Denny Hamlin & Matt Kenseth victories. The fellas will recap where things stand, who must win win to stay alive and the assorted scenarios that could play out.

Meanwhile, the 'heats' were rained out on Friday at the 31st Keystone Nationals, but the field has been set for final eliminations in the 3rd consecutive weekend of the MelloYello Drag Racing Series. Want to know where your favorite pilot stands? Listen in for Frat House Mike's update!

Also in the mix: Smoke announces retirement; Bowyer maps out his future; Elliott-4-Elliott swap is in the works at JR Motorsports and restarts will be getting the attention (too much?) the drivers have been crying for. Sidekick brings his fantasy advice and Brandon offers his analysis, so join in at: 347-826-9964, Sunday morning at 11 am.

The Race Trim MotorSports Hour #41

    in Sports

The saying goes, "the first cut is the deepest" and for NASCAR's Jimmie Johnson that is certainly true. "Mr.6-Time" will not be part of the conversation for another Championship this year, after finishing 41st last week in the final race of the Challenger round at Dover International Speedway. He wasn't alone, of course. First-time Chase racers Jamie McMurray & Paul Menard also bowed out along with MWR's lone pilot, Clint Bowyer.

Not to worry, TRD is well represented with all 4 Joe Gibbs Racing drivers in the mix of 12. Jeff Gordon is defiantly moving forward as well and stands his best (?) chance to get his first 2015 win over the next 3 weekends according to some. How did your guy do? Get in the conversation; the "garage" is open for just an hour tonight from 7-8pm so call in to: 347-826-9964.

There's no NHRA this week, but there will be a recap of CWT & Xfinity series action which ran last weekend. Erik Jones sits in the "driver's" seat for NCWTS at the moment, while defending series champ Chase Elliott hopes to upset current NXS leader Chris Buescher.  There'll be the usual Fantasy chat ahead of the start of CUP action tomorrow evening at 7pm, fast-paced and light-hearted give & go with the fellas and they're hoping to hear from YOU, too.

Get in the "garage" & get in the "HOUSE". . . Frat House Sports this evening starting at 7. Call us up: 347-826-9964!

  • The Race Trim MotorSports Hour #39

    in Sports

Get in thje "garage" tomorrow for another Sunday with the Frat House Sports gang on the Race Trim MotorSports Hour, coming your way LIVE at 11 am.

Last week Denny Hamlin grabbed his 2nd win of the year for JGR in the first NASCAR "Chase" race, held out in Illinois. The fellas will be "kicking the tires" and offering their thoughts and observations on the event (as well as the drama following it) and they will be joined in the first hour by special guest & founder of SaveStockCarRacing.com , Chuck Ellison.

There appeared to be some hard feelings exhibited between Kevin Harvick & Jimmie Johnson at the end of last week which leads to natural conjecture of whether or not it will spill over at New Hampshire. In the meantime, restarts continue to be source of frustration for some, keys to victory for others and a complete mystery to officials; MWR might be out of the sport this time next year but they can't seem to stay out of trouble and might be facing fines & a suspension this time next week.

There'll be an NHRA update with Frat House Mike previewing the heats at Gateway Motorsports Park for the 2nd weekend of the Countdown to the Championship, Sidekick will be bringing his recommended "Picks" for fantasy, and our crew chief Brandon has returned and will join us in the garage for this one...all we need is YOU. Call in to: 347-826-9964 Sunday beginning at 11am til 1 pm (ET).
