It is no secret that there is a crisis of youth gun violence in our communities across this country. On average, 33,000 Americans are killed with guns each year, and the burden of this violence falls disproportionately on young people: 54 percent of people murdered with guns in 2010 were under the age of 30.
What can we do about it? Who should we hold accountable? What are some solutions and strategies to prevent gun violence and the destruction of our communities? How can we become a part of the solution instead of sitting on the sidelines complaining and being only a part of the problem? How do we call for unity in the community on this issue?
