Who is a mother? Is any woman who bears a child a mother, or does the word "mother" deserve a higher status?

We are all born from mothers with different races, cultures, backgrounds, religions, and EXPECTATIONS. There are many mothers who are gentle, empathic, sensitive, caring, compassionate, tolerant, nurturing, and helpful, but sometimes satisfying a mother's expectations becomes a difficult emotional challenge. We also know mothers who have abandoned their children at young ages, yet want a relationship with them in later years.

As Mothers' day is approaching conflicting feelings about our mothers may arise as well. Join Dr. Sadigh and his guest Parisa Amirmotofian on Thursday May 10th to discuss yours and others emotional challenges on the sensitive subject of Mothers' Day.

Parisa Amirmostofian is a Clinical Fellow at Loyola Marymount University. She is currently practicing at the Wheel of Wellbeing as a MFT intern and art therapist. She holds her Masters in Medicine and is educated in Color Light Therapy, Magnet Therapy and Vibration Healing. Parisa has over thirty years of artistic training and as a mid-wife as well.
