ADHD, Sex, Intimacy, and Play, Oh Boy!

    in Self Help

Got attention deficit hyperactivity disorder? We’ve got a show for you! We’ve done interviews on the impact of ADHD on sex and intimacy; we’ve done shows on the value of play for those with ADHD; now, we are really going to play! That is, play around with the impact of play on sex and intimacy for those with ADHD with your clothes both on and off! We’re playing around with two of our favorite quests, Dr. Ari Tuckman (www.adultADHDbook.com) and Dr. Kirsten Milliken (www.PlayDHD.com). We’re talking about how sex can be an area of play for adults and how being playful with your clothes on makes it easier to have more playful intimacy. We’re also talking about the importance of balancing workloads between partners so there is time and desire to play sexually and allow play to ignite dopamine and put their neurochemicals on a level playing field with each other. If you’ve got ADHD and like to play, this show speaks for itself.

Why Is It Important Spiritually for You to Have Free Attention?

    in Spirituality

In taking up your spiritual quest to awaken, and then further see through what is there to be revealed, as well as let go of, you  must rely on noticing where you allow your attention to focus.
Is it focused and aware? Or do you allow it to wander all over the place and further distort your view of having a clear view of reality?
Humanity has dealt with attenion and its wandering nature for thousands of years. In today's techno-insanity world, when someone is called out on their involment with too many distractions that are keeping them superficial, they tend to get upset.

It is hard to admit we can get all over the planet and hardly be present locally.  Don't we direly need to focus our intentions so we can flush out the debris of untruths within ourselves? This requies a decision to purposefully discipline our egos. Of course ego-mind has not such interest in being so discipline. It has not desire to begin a spiritual quest that will harness ego's wanderlust of distractions, all fascinated with the world, but not so much our Source or God.
The more we become aware of, the more we can potentially relase, which may be keeping our baggage and gravity tied to earth; our Spirit wants to take flight! And our attention must be of the paradoxical kind: free, yet harnnessed. Attention is a powerful key to get control over unconscious energy drainers. Also, we can open our heart to lead our mind into the higher vibrational perspectives of a free attentiion that is not dilute and consumed by base  vibrations of little value to our ultimate happiness.
We will be talking about ways of bringing your attention to a more refined purer attention so you can stop being pulled back into the world scene and being locked in its attention grabbing vibration.
Join us, Sharon Quinn and Will Gable
