The Don S. McClure Show Live -  Focus and Determination - The Key Factors

Focus and determination, these are two of the main ingredients one needs to reach a purpose or goal.
Lao Tzu once said, "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."  According to legend Lao Tzu was the keeper of the archives at the imperial court. When he was eighty years old he set out for the western border of China, toward what is now Tibet, saddened and disillusioned that men were unwilling to follow the path to natural goodness he began his quest. When he arrived at the border (Hank Pass), a guard, Yin Xi (Yin Hsi), asked Lao Tsu to record his teachings before he left. He then composed in 5,000 characters the Tao Te Ching (The Way and Its Power). When you become focus there is an unstoppable force within you to succeed in life, career, and relationships. But just as you are focused on a satisfactory result coming from your quest. The end may not justify or yield the point of satisfaction you seek.  In other words, one must realize that just the effort of trying is better than not trying at all. There is a Speech in the movie Any Given Sunday that can sum up some of the issues of being focused and determined: I don't know what to say really. Three minutes to the biggest battle of our professional lives all comes down to today. Either we heal as a team or we are going to crumble. Inch by inch play by play till we're finished. We can climb out of hell. One inch, at a time. You find out that life is just a game of inches. Because in life  the margin for error is so small. I mean one half step too late or to early you don't quite make it. One half second too slow or too fast and you don't quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us that's going to make the difference between WINNING and LOSING
