The Don S. McClure - Are we still just a one talent producing culture.

This image and the topic is created because one of the icons in Chicago is leaving for the betterment of her company.

And one can not blame her for wanting to continue to grow strong. But what does here leaving or why should her leaving present such a gap when we say we have many Black Millionaries, and we are a city of growth.  Yet in the Black community we are still caught in the one spot light. Where where the negotions for buying the Building or Where were the power brokers to make a new TV name for someone and give talent the chance they desire and deserve.

We do more talking about support then we do giving support. It show each Black History month when we say the same ten names and maybe add a couple of new ones.

It shows in the amount of productions we have on Tv and it shows in the amount of Directors, and Producers and those that lead and open new frontiers.

We have seen this happen time and time again in Detroit, Memphis, Chicago, Gary, and in Baltimore and Cleveland and there are more cities.

We always ask if a talent went to see those same names to help promote their dreams.

So I ask again when do we become real producers and offerreal support.

So that we break this cycle of madness.
