Saturday Night - Special Edition -

ok... I normally don't do a show on Saturday night. But I wanted to share this new piece from Truthdig.org Too many ppl here in this country treat being smart as something bad... they belittle and criticize intellectuals and elites as if there is something actually wrong with being smart, being informed, being thoughtful and questioning. It bugs me, it should bug you, and we need to talk about this dumbing down of Americans and how it plays into the Fascist, Corporatist and Militarist agenda that is literally destroying our democracy/republic and playing into the hands of the Ruling Class of the Empire. This may be a bit wonky... but I'll translate and give my thoughts on all this as well. Why?
