Photobucket Gary Hoskins: (a.k.a. “Chopper”) hails from the Pacific Northwest: musician, producer, writer and voice talent working in the entertainment industry for over 30 years now. In his early career working as a Recording Engineer & Sound Engineer, Chopper has worked with artist from the golden age of radio, rock & roll artist, shock jocks, television host, country artist, Game show host and many others. In 1989, an opportunity in radio presented itself, (and even though he had no training in broadcasting, he did have a strong production background) that said, he had the job within an hour of his first interview – working at a local (3000 watt) radio station in Yakima, WA. He has since been a disc jockey & radio personality, production director, program director, writer, producer and voice talent with many radio stations and networks, like CBS, ABC and more. “Chopper’s” roots in music & recording, honed his production skills – earning him a recognition in the broadcast field of “Recording & Production” publications. Also being live and on-air, strengthened his work ethics, and improvisational skills. Chopper’s extensive credits include hundreds of thousands of radio commercials, station imaging, storytelling, morning show personality, PSA’s, pretty much where ever a voice can be heard. Nowadays under the title of ”Production Specialist”, he lends his background as a Radio Consultant working with internet radio hosts on show structure, timing, promoting, personality and more. Still very much involved in voiceovers, working towards voicing network television, films and radio. For more information: thevoice@radio1productions.com
