Kumbukilani Phiri

Kumbukilani is a twenty-something biofuels expert based in China. He is not only a Zambian professional in the diaspora but also a commercial farmer in Zambia. He recently wrote us, "Last year I did a 40 acres piece of land in Mumbwa and I am happy to say I recorded a total of 450 bags of 50 kg sacks. The government buying price from the farmers this year has been placed at K65,000 and everyone of us who put in our resources and sweat were actually very happy seeing that we will get back what we had invested."
