Join Lucy Ann Mollas she chats with Paula Silva, who seemed the typical Christian woman. Married, a mom, church-goer. But there was a secret.

Domestic abuse.

Her husband, who also a Christian, repeatedly threatened to murder her. His killing words shred her emotions and sense of worth to pieces.

Have you been abused by your husband or a boyfriend? Do you know someone who has? Then let Paula's healing words soothe your broken heart.

Tragically, in the Christian community, one in every four women experiences family violence, Paula reports.

After divorce and poor response from the church, she founded FOCUS Ministries in 1995. Last year, FOCUS Ministires received more than 2,000 emails, phone calls, and in-person visits from women in the crisis of domestic abuse. Paula says 95 percent of these contacts came from those who said they are Christian.

In addition, Paula says, "We ministered to 27 pastors' wives last year who were being abused."

Yes, pastors' wives.

Paula also coauthored the book, Violence Among Us: Ministry to Families in Crisis. This is our giveaway. To enter the giveaway, leave a comment or go to my website and send me a message.
