Do you have a current business that needs to be updated?  Or do you have a business or product idea and want to get it out there?  Exactly what does it take to be successful in business? Shirley Gutkowski Host of Cross Link Radio speaks with John Scherer about his business success.

John Scherer  founded his computer education firm creating his own instructional videos to teach computer owners the popular computer systems.  His videos weren’t selling well at retail stores and John evolved. He reluctantly became an infomercial star in his own shows because he couldn't afford to hire actors for his TV ads. This beginning gave him an opportunity to become known as The Video Professor. In 1990, the year after his first ads appeared, sales jumped from $1.5 million to $5 million then to $18 million and climbed to as high as $130 million one year. His soft-spoken pitch worked so well he has become one of the top Pitchmen ever.

John left Video Professor back in 2010 and since has taken a product to market known as Canless Air www.canlessair.com.   Recently John has started a TV show called Products in The News. The show is designed to help companies see if TV is for them at a fraction of the cost.

Years ago, John spent hundreds of thousands just to see if TV would work for his product. With his vast experience and connections, he can now produce a professional, custom TV segment—and air it nationally for his clients at a tiny fraction of what they would pay to do it on their own. John also gives people the opportunity to talk with him about their business and offer feedback to improve your processes. www.productsinthenews.com
