In this episode of Carson's Corner we will examine Tuesday's attack by Turkey on a Russian SU-24 bomber in Syrian airspace, which resulted in the deaths of one of the two bomber pilots and of a Russian rescue helicopter pilot. We'll attempt to eliminate the confusion around the incident by asking and answering several interrelated questions: Was this a strategic blunder on Turkey's part? Was it a premeditated crime? Why would Turkey attack a Russian plane engaged in anti-ISIS operations when Turkey is supposed to be part of the anti-ISIS fight? Are Turkey and other members of the coalition led by U.S. imperialism actually aiding ISIS? And, did the United States order or authorize the attack? Is the fact that the Russian-led coalition is making great progress against terrorists in Syria what actually precipitated the attack? What are the real geo-strategic goals of U.S. imperialism and its allies in the area and what is the Russian-led coalition trying to accomplish, and why has it been so difficult to bring the two coalitions together in one unified fight against terrorism?=
