Two state appeals courts will have to decide for themselves whether to uphold decisions by two Dane County judges that put a stop to the photo ID requirements of the state voter ID law after the Wisconsin Supreme Court on Monday declined to directly take appeals of the cases.


Wisconsin election officials say that six Republicans running as Democrats in the upcoming recall elections should be allowed to stay on the ballot.

Walker has a 5-point lead against Milwaukee mayor Tom Barrett, 50 percent to 45 percent, and a 7-point lead -- 50 percent to 43 percent -- against Kathleen Falk. PPP
