DIGITAL HEALING analyzes how to organize the work of healthcare in a way that uses machines to do what they do best, thereby freeing humans to do what we do best. Smart use of electronic technology is crucial to the success of any bid to fulfill the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s triple aim to make healthcare more effective, efficient, and humane.

"My goal in writing this book is to explore the ever-fascinating blurry boundary that lies between biology, human consciousness, and machines."

Dr. Ringel delivered a bi-weekly commentary on KUNC Radio, a public radio station in Colorado for 16 years (1995-2012).  He has appeared on the radio program MARKETPLACE on American Public Media numerous times.  He has written columns for newspapers including The Greeley Tribune(Colorado) and for the magazines Nexus and Health and Money.
