 Claudette  (Cleo) Alexander-Thomason, a native of Washington, D.C., is a literary, performing and teaching artist, who believes in and is respectful of the power of words to create..."In the beginning..." One of her passions is to witness, whether as an artist or audience member, the power of "words" come to life, especially on stage.  She is a published author of short stories, poetry, prose and plays, has been writing since the 3rd grade!

Presently, she is collaborating on a new play with a former student, in addition to revising one of her own plays, "Homeplace," for production in 2015.
