Parents don’t usually enroll their children in swimming lessons thinking they will end up as Olympic swimmers. We do it we mainly because want our kids to be safe and enjoy all the fun that is possible around the water and in the pool.

But those who train as elite athletes in the water, know that swimmingis a not a sport for wimps! These athletes can’t call time-out in the middle of a race and can never stop to catch theirbreath. They can't roll on over on their stomachs, lie there to rest or call-in a substitution.

Canadian swimmers have proven their worth to Swimming Canada in international competition, winning more medals in Olympic, Commonwealth and Pan Americangames than any other Canadian sport.

Swimming is a lifetime sport that benefits the body and the whole person. A healthy activity that can be continued for a lifetime.
