According to research, nearly two-thirds of adult college students in the U.S. drop out prior to graduation! This is largely due to the lack of planning in all areas of life, sound advisement, and counseling intervention. Adult students with disabilities, who are parents, carry the additional responsibility of being a role model for their own children to finish school. There are many alarming reasons for Adult Students to drop-out from the idea of going to back to school or finishing the courses started. Awareness is the first step needed to motivate and encourage those struggling to meet the demands and stress of family, work, and school schedules. Hear a Special insight on mental illness and Miriam Carey. Join Dr. Applewhite and guests as they discuss how many overcome difficult experiences and transitions, especially Student Veterans with families..
