@AlaRecruiter -- LINKEDIN --

"We've all worked with the hiring manager who says, 'Here's my job. I'm going to have ten interviews by Friday right?' No, it's up to us as recruiters to say, "Here's what you can realistically expect from me. I'm going to need three weeks. Are you open to that?"

"The average hiring manager has no idea of how the sausage is made so maybe we should share that a little more. I'm a big fan of telling you what you are going to do not what you want me to do. How would that resonate with you?"

"Mr hiring manager I will give this search as much priority as you do". If you have a hiring manager who doesn't have time to spend with you, it is not a priority for them. And if it is not a priority for him, why should it be for you? If you cannot do your job without a certain level of engagement from the hiring manager, why are you killing yourself on this search?"

I approached Amy at a time in my life when I was very frustrated and unhappy with the work I had been doing. Amy took it upon herself to help me in a way most wouldn't. -- Matt Kincer
