Critical Discourse - Who Cares about the Capital of Israel, when ...

As-Salaam-Alaikum,

Well, as promised, President Donald Trump has officially recognized Jerusalem, as the Capital of the state of Israel (I never said the man was perfect!), to the chagrin of Arab leaders, who have argued, such a move, serves as an impediment to the peace process.

President Trump, in making his historic announcement, made mention of the 3 religions of that area, which share Prophetic significances, and how, contrary to naysayers, enhances the peace process.

I am the first to admit, having not an iota of an idea, how this move helps or hurts. But, I'm sure, there are those, wiser than I, who do.

What I am much more concerned about, are reports of slave-trading of black Africans, in Libya. I've heard bits and pieces about this, but, at this writing, haven't mustered the nerve, to look into such a painful and devastating story. 

There are those, who can point to the role that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton played, in this process, as they orchestrated the overthrow and murder of Colonel Qaddafi, which left a serious social and political power vacuum (just as there are those who blamed G.W. Bush, for the societal implosion in Iraq, after the war and invasion, in 2003.

While we would be remiss in letting any of them off the hook, the bigger issue is the hearts and souls of those people, presumably Muslim, who would take it upon themselves, to enslave anyone, in 2017! And for me, that black people are being singled out, only adds insult to injury.After all, it is they, who must be held to account, for what they are doing now, and at the end of the day, it is not Obama or Clinton, who are engaging in such carnage. 

And, I will say, more than ever, what we need about now, is a Tweet from President Trump.
