Our guest host for 'Socialism Today' is Bernard Elias, a writer, artist, and local social activist in the Los Angeles area.
His guest is a longtime friend, George 'Kunu' Funmaker.  George is a First Nation activist who has been, all his life, a part of the struggle for rights that is now coming to light at Standing Rock.  He speaks of the spiritual aspect of this activism. This discussion will be both enlightening and poignant.

On PTD, Brian and Ruthann talk about current events.
Of course, this includes the worst election cycle ever in US history (maybe in the world).  Never have so many of the citizens disliked both of the 'major' candidates to the degree they do today.  What have we allowed to happened to us?  Or, how did we bring this about?  What will we do to keep such a mess from ever happening again?
