AGRI-TALK features Dr. Gary Gao – SUPER-FRUITS and benefits to healthier Living
FEBRUARY 17, 2016 at 1:00 pm – AGRI-TALK with Duane Rigsby and Mike Thompson feature Gary Gao, PhD. Small Fruits Specialist, Associate Professor with The Ohio State University South Centers. Dr. Gao has been working at The Ohio State University since 1994. He received a master’s and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. Please join Dr. Gao for an informative discussion surrounding SUPER FRUITS, which are the fruits with high antioxidant content and many health benefits. Some of the super fruits include: Blueberries, Raspberries, Elderberries, Aronia (aka Black Chokeberries) and Blackberries to name a few. Americans are eating more fruits these days with more than half as old standbys: bananas, apples, and oranges. However, new research is recommending regular consumption of Super fruits for an array of disease-fighting vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, which can measurably improve one’s health. Super fruits are also known to have anti-cancer properties.
