Wednesday 1:00 September 16, 2015 pm. PAWSITIVE EXPERIENCES TRAINING with Thomas Heiskell, PhD. And MIKE THOMPSON welcome a new monthly Broadcast on RIO GRANDE CABLE ACCESS Channel 17. Dr. Tom Heiskell and Mike Thompson kick-off this new monthly educational program with the SMART Program (See, Mark, Reward and Train) that lets owners with dogs that have little or no training, build a bridge of communication. With that bridge, dogs capture positive behaviors they already exhibit and in turn encourages these positive qualities to be a life-long part of that dog. In this first segment Tom and Mike will show how an initially hyper dog can be trained in several steps to a more calm and gentle companion. This broadcast demonstrates that dogs can be rewarded for desirable behaviors.
