MXMGBTR 98.9FM - 01/28 "True Life Experiences" Min Charles Clark-Streets2Christ

    in Motivation

A show dedicated to "True Life Experiences." The Life & Motivation of Minister Charles Clark - "Who is Charles Clark?  Min. Clark is a motivational speaker, a radio personality, youth leader, an advocate, an anointed man of God.

Min. Clark's vision is to restore lives #UnityBeyondColor all over the world through positive reinforcement, spiritual enhancement, and empowerment.  He has first-hand knowledge on restoration because he, himself, has truly been restored.  After losing his father at the tender age of 6, Charles became involved in drugs and gang-banging trying to fill the void, even though he had a loving mother.  Min. Clark will truthfully tell you, that the “devil had him as a puppet” and used him to do horrific things. But God’s grace and mercy, transformed him and restored him while he was incarcerated for 8 years."

What does it all mean? Fukitt CEO and Founder, Ricardo Zulueta Jr, will share his story including the origin of their unusual name. Since their mission is to inspire and motivate people to live life and take risks, it is appropriate to support Suicide Prevention Awareness. Ricardo, the founder of Fukitt, has experienced the loss of his oldest brother from suicide, which is why he is passionate in his mission. Fukitt’s goal is not only to prevent suicide, but to influence and change people's mentality and perspective about life that often lead to depression, anxiety and other mental issues that prevent them from achieving the ultimate goal -- to be happy. October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Interview with Author Jil Ross

    in Education

    The Bullying Ends with You!

    http://www.pacer.org/bullying/nbpm/

    For Educators

Author Jil Ross wrote the Shenanigans Series ™ after running into a dilemma finding quality, humorous, educating, thought provoking and entertaining books for her own children. The principal characters are African American. The target reading age for this series is between 7 and 11 years old, depending on the reading skill level. The books are chapter books with illustrations at the beginning of each chapter.

All of the stories in the Shenanigans Series ™ include a spelling guide and question that can be used for written assignments, group discussions and/or thought provoking activities. Many teachers, educators and parents who home school, find this book feature very useful.

In each of the stories, one or both of the children makes a wrong decision. They learn the consequences of that 'bad decision,' but more importantly, they learn how to 'right their wrong'.

At a day and age when it seems 'anything goes,' this series shows a clear picture of the ramifications that might come as a result of the choices that we make. And although the storyline is humorous, the reinforcement (gentle, but firm), still exists.

The stories deal with moral issues, issues of integrity and 'doing the right thing.' The characters own up to their choices. And their loved ones' don't throw them away because they mess-up. Instead, the adults; parent, they teach, they redirect and they lead by example.

Jil Ross is an authorized vendor of Chicago Pubic Schools (CPS) and City Colleges of Chicago (CCC), and does accept invitations to visit area schools; (Catholic, Private and Public), to participate in book readings, book fares and literacy programs. jilross.com
