Chef Philippa is an internationally acclaimed professional Thai chef who fell in love with Thailand in 1982. Trained in the art of Thai cuisine in Thailand, her culinary expertise led her from London, to The Netherlands to the U.S.

She is president of Philippa’s Orient Inc., an exclusive and innovative Thai Catering Company and Thai Culinary School featuring organic foods.

Chef Philippa was personally invited to be guest chef at The Royal Thai Embassy by the wife of His Excellency the Ambassador of Thailand, including The Tourism Authority of Thailand in New York, and the Director of The Thai Trade Center in Miami.

Chef Philippa is the only non-Thai person to serve on the Board of The Thai Association of Georgia. She also was granted a personal audience with HRH Queen Sirikit of Thailand at a Thai event held in Washington, D.C. Chef Philippa has catered parties for embassies and companies, including The American Ambassador to the Netherlands, South Africa and New Zealand Embassies, The Consul Generals of Great Britain, The Netherlands, and Canada, the Lt. Governor of Georgia, and the Coca-Cola Company Head Office in Atlanta.

She has been featured in international and national publications and newspapers, including Elle, Cosmopolitan, Wine & Dine magazines, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, and Washington Jewish Week. And, she has been a guest chef on Turner South’s“Home Plate” television show, and a guest chef at the Grand Opening of Whole Foods in Atlanta.

The Thai Table by Terry Tan is an international Thai cookbook published in London and The Far East. The Thai Table has won the Gourmand Food Award 2008 in the Best Foreign Cuisine Cookbook category and has been nominated for “Best Thai Cookbook of the World 2008”.
