THE 2024 LIVING LEGENDS CELEBRATION AND MORE
Verna Thomas Melton is the Founder and Director of the Verna's HELP Foundation and the Owner/CEO of VM Graphic Packaging & Safety Products. She has always enjoyed staying busy and volunteering in the community.
The Board of Directors of Verna's HELP Foundation would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all the 2024 Living Legends for their contributions to our event on June 8th at the Royal Oaks Country Club. Their dedication and hard work have made a significant impact on our community. The event was a great success, honoring well-deserving individuals from various backgrounds. It brought people of all ethnic backgrounds together in prayer and celebration for each Living Legend.
It's unclear whether this year will be the last or if the board will continue after Verna's Birthday & Retirement Celebration, which is a ROAST & TOAST for her 50 years of volunteering services to Dallas County and a Documentary on Dallas' 1st Black History Makers & Leaders.
The Verna's HELP Foundation requires assistance with their monthly budget expenses, including reimbursing the volunteer consultants and counselors who provide ongoing assistance to clients after our legal workshops to ensure that their situations are resolved. The foundation focuses on helping families with legal issues such as child custody, senior benefits, and wrongful termination for parents with children. They also assist with expungement documents to help people with criminal backgrounds find housing.
We kindly request your help with our telephone solicitation to retailers for our Back-to-School Vouchers program for underprivileged families. Annually, we provide transparent backpacks and retail vouchers for the new school year.
