"The Redemptive Names of God"

In the Old Testament God gave an unfolding revelation of Himself.  We must remember that many gods were worshipped at that time, but there was no extensive knowledge of the One True God as we have it today revealed in the Person of Jesus Christ and the Bible.  God began to reveal Himself to people by giving them Names by which to call Him.  Culturally, people were given a name that was intended to describe their character/destiny in those days.  God used this cultural understanding of names to reveal Himself.  You will be built up in your faith as you rehearse these Names with me.  And remember:  they are all SUMMED UP in the Name:  "JESUS"!
