I am the author of Recognize THEM - 52 Ways to Recognize Your Employees in Ways They Value. It is my first book.

Today's reading is from the second category: Champion.

Defined as a noun, the word Champion means:

  • a person who has defeated all opponents in a competition or series of competitions. Our success as an organization depends entirely on how well we, as leaders, can remove every obstacle that may hinder the achievement of all of our employees, individually and collectively.
  • a person who fights for or defends any person or cause. As manager of our highest-performing division she was a champion for all of her direct reports, insuring their achievements were recognized appropriately and that sufficient resources and training was provided them to insure their continued success.
