Author readings bring authors to their prospective audience. Audio books bring the author to their readers. Why not combine the two?
Today I will read from the first two parts of my book. Recognition and The Wakeup Call.
Well-begun is half-done. Beginning my book by recognizing all those whose time and efforts brought me to this moment is more than well-done. Without them, this book is not possible.
They include those who helped organize my posts and ideas into a book as well as those I’ve worked with in the past who taught me what works and what doesn’t and most importantly why.
That’s the same with your employees, colleagues, co-workers and peers. Without them, your work is not possible. Your achievements are unattainable. A rising body of data shows that as we are recognized, we grow inspired. As we grow inspired we accomplish more, risk more, learn more, grow more.
You should start your day by recognizing those whose work and ideas, strengths and talents and need to learn, sometimes complaints and needs, help you achieve your goals, both shared and individual. I outline a few easy ways to make this a routine part of your day.
