World Water Day - Hadiara Diallo on Voices of Anakazi

World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.
We speak to Hadiara Diallo, Director of Micro- Finance with Wells Bring Hope, an organization that strives to provide clean, safe water in one of the most water deprived countries on this planet, Niger. Although making clean, safe water accessible in Niger is a major starting point, Hadiara also subscribes to the belief that providing women the means to survive and realize their dreams through concrete economic programs is the way to approach long-term development plans.
