We have all heard the quoting of the infamous passage starting at Malachi 3:8 that is often interpreted as man robbing God by not paying tithes and offerings and the punishment for not doing so is being cursed with a curse. Should you be obedient and pay, God will rebuke the devour agains you and open up a door and pour you out a blessing that you would not have room enough to recieve it. Sounds good, but why does it often end bad for those who "try him" as the scripture says? Does He give you what He wants to give you after you tithe or do you get what you petition God for? Is it a sin to not tithe and will you go to hell for not doing so? What was the tithe and what was it actually used for in biblical times? Join us Sunday at 5pm as we discuss the issues dealing with modern day tithing and should we still be paying it.
