Leaving his native home of New Orleans, where he graduated from Loyola University of New Orleans in English Writing and Literature, Damian studied at The British American Drama Academy (BADA), in Oxford, UK. At the illustrious school, he was trained under the guidance of Michael Kahn (artistic director, Juilliard), Tony Randall, Fiona Shaw, Alan Rickman, and various directors from the Royal Shakespeare Company.

In November of 2013, Damian’s long-awaited memoir, Voice: A Stutterer’s Odyssey,  hit bookshelves through Behler Publication. In this riveting memoir, Damian shares his thirty-five year bout with his severe stuttering and the ramifications that come with such a detrimental speech impediment.

Currently, Damian is in development with lyricist and composer Keith Potts, and producer Heather Provost for an original musical based on his memoir, titled V-V-Voice!

In May 2012, Scott received “The Converting Awareness into Action” Award from The Stuttering Foundation in New York City along with Fox News’ John Stossell and NFL player Ellis Lankster. In May of 2014, Damian joined three other writers at the annual Stuttering Foundation gala, where their achievements in writing were honored.

In January 2015, Scott Damian was featured in FLiP Magazine.  You can read his article in their back issues through FLiP Magazine's MagCloud site.
