Located in the heart of the mid-Atlantic the City of Norfolk is an important 400-year-old port city and home to the largest naval base in the world. Norfolk also played a crucial role in the Underground Railroad as one of the last port stops on the road to freedom north.  Dr. Cassandra Newby-Alexander from Norfolk State University joins World Footprints to discuss the newly established Waterways to Freedom Tour and Norfolk’s important role in the Underground Railroad.

Then, Mike Bowers, Senior Director of Health and Safety at People to People Ambassador Programs, shares some sage advice for teens traveling abroad.

Finally, Adelphi University’s Dr. Stephen Shore  takes us inside the world of autism and he’ll share how lives are being changed through research and support groups around the world.
