Thank You Notes are noticed. A note at the right time can get you a second interview. A note after you turn in the application, could get your application pulled out from the pile and noticed and possibly placed on top of the stack. If money is an issue, ask at your local employment office if you could mail out thank you notes using their postage. Ask for what you want. When doing job search find as many ways as possible to use other people's money. Make long distance calls from your employment office or library if service is available. Send emails and make copies while at the employment office. Keep a record of thank you notes sent. Call and ask for the job a week later. The thank you note says, remember me, hire me.
