In this highly technical age we live in, we are all connected in so many ways - but what is this doing to the children of today? Join me on The Mompreneur Model with a special encore of my conversation with Mary Jo Rapini about what you can do to safeguard your children and teenagers as they navigate the online world.
Mary Jo Rapini is a licensed professional counselor and focuses on the psychological effects of social networking. She believes that social networks offer teens a skewed view of the real world, and they don’t have the brain development to understand this is not the real world. If the teen’s family is not engaged with the teen, the social network takes on a much more potent place in the teen’s world. In fact, it may become their world!
