This week on Women Warriors, Wed. Sept 25 at Noon ET, our special guest Jo Gelbard will be discussing the topic of “Finding Your Own Voice.”   Each of us is inundated with so much to do and so many to care for, how do we find time for our self?  Join us as we discuss with Jo, her thoughts, insights, and journey on this topic.

Born in New York City, Jo Gelbard has one married son and 2 grandchildren.   She studied fine art since childhood.  After 14 years of marriage and still married in 1984, she met Miles Davis and started a personal and artistic relationship with him.  They began an art collaboration which resulted in a Simon and Schuster book on their collective work.  Jo finally got divorced after 6 years of having this affair and one year before Miles passed away.  Jo and Miles paintings have been exhibited in the Whitney Museum Biennale in New York, The Montreal Museum of Art and La Musee De La Musique in Paris.  She continues to exhibit both solo and collaborative canvases internationally in Paris, London, Rotterdam.  Her new Book "Miles and Jo, Love Story in Blue" describes the relationship, their art, and the roads that led them to each other.  Jo remained with Miles up until his death in 1991.
