Trayvon Martin lost his life this week at the hands of George Zimmerman the self appointed neighborhood watch leader of an upscale gated community. So far he has not been arrested for murder because he "claims" he was acting in self-defense.   The Detroit 300 declared war on the gangs and drug dealers that plague their community. They were crystal clear they were "coming after" the gang bangers that were responsible for the deaths of innocent children in their beds.

In both situations these people were, in their minds, justified in taking a personal stance on protecting their community. Are we becoming a society that applauds the vigilante? What happens when the protector becomes the aggressor?  Is there more tolerance if the vigilante that is taking back the streets looks like you? Put down your gun and pick up the mic on WBRG The Bridge this THURSDAY NIGHT at 9pm EST. Call in number (646) 381-4789.
