MOTHER'S BROTHER HOUR IS HONORED TO PRESENT: SHAWN SULLIVAN

Shawn Sullivan, Eastern European/Eurasian Director, MANNA Worldwide Shawn went to boot camp for the U.S. Navy in Great Lakes, Illinois where he attended electronics basics and “A” School for Electrician’s Mate. He then attended Nuclear Power training in Orlando, Florida where he met his wife of 32 years. Their first duty station was recon prep for his submarine, the USS Barbel SS-580 in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and then they were forward deployed to Sasebo, Japan for the next 4 years. Shawn served as an electrician, qualified in submarines and as Engineering Watch Supervisor. The boat’s primary function was recon and Seal Team/Recon Marine insertion during the cold war. After the Navy, Shawn was hired by Lockheed Space Operations as a NASA sub-contractor to perform maintenance and operations for the Space Shuttle program at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida where he served on the transporter crew and in Launch Pad Operations. Shawn is an ordained minister and served as Associate Pastor for 6 years before moving with his wife and children to Ukraine for another 6 years to rescue orphans and abused/neglected children. He has worked with MANNA Worldwide for the last 7 years and currently lives near Orlando. “Our organization serves to rescue children from the grip of poverty in 42 countries and more than 162 different locations. Our goal is to break the cycle of poverty for these kids and their communities by conducting rescue, relief and restoration operations all over the world. Our offices are located in Fort Worth, TX and Denver, Colorado, but I work from home here in Central Florida.
