The Voice of Change, hosted by Sharon Ann Wikoff, welcomes guest Karen Melton to the program. Karen Melton, prenatal and birth therapist, will discuss how many Cesarean Births can be prevented. When one understands that birth is a normal and natural process and there is a strong desire to allow that process to unfold in a natural manner, then many times, interventions can be prevented, allowing for a normal birth to take place. Karen Melton has a Prenatal & Birth Therapy Practice in Northern California, focusing on the prevention and healing of prenatal, birth and bonding trauma, with babies, adults, kids and parents. She is a mature, experienced practitioner offering gentle somatic and regulatory healing work. Karen’s initial, and most important training in PPN (Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology) was in the womb. There she learned about how profoundly and deeply our lives are affected by our journey into life, from conception onwards. She trained extensively with Dr William Emerson, and Dr Ray Castellino when she moved to California from England 13 years ago. Prior to that she practiced as a counselor and therapist in England for 15 years.
