I was born on the Fourth of July, Tevin Wolf Huffman.

My life, like everyone else's is one of trial before victory, of defeat and success, a dream and passion, yet unchased. When I was a young boy at the age of 5, I had a family, a mom, dad, and a little brother.

Bad parents make great examples of who not to be. Left alone, taking care of my baby brother, gives one an early sense of responsibility. Then it all went away and foster homes, foster family, foster friends, and foster enemies.

I've been homless. I've been hungry. I've been called white trash by grown men and women who were my own blood. But in all the pain, I had a light. MUSIC.... I remember singing Elvis in the living room when I was 6 and my foster dad said, " Boy your pretty good"..

So I became an Elvis impersonator. I sang in fairs and karaoke every weekend. He didn't have any kids and had lost his wife to cancer and it's because of him, I found my passion. But history repeated itself and again I was in and out of more foster beds.

Eventually, one foster family adopted me. I changed my name at 12. I had always felt alone so I chose the animal (wolf) that represented it, hence the name.

Many people wouldn't have made it. I did. Or maybe, they would have given in to their surroundings and became a drunk or tried drugs. Not me.

I went to 13 high schools and graduated with a 3.9. My whole life I've done what I said I was going to do. I'm a fighter and because of my passion I've made it this far.
