After Jacob and his family move to Egypt, the time comes for him to bless his grandsons, the sons of Joseph. Jacob intentionally uses his right hand to bless the younger son, Ephraim. Joseph thought Jacob was making a mistake, but Jacob said no, he wasn't making a mistake. It is important for us, just as it was for Jacob, to be led by the Spirit of God. God led Jacob to put Ephraim before Manasseh even though tradition said the firstborn always got the right had of blessing, or the larger blessing than the other sons.
