Located just a few blocks from the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, the historic Hôtel Vernet recently underwent an intense renovation to help bring modern amenities to its guests. The focus was on maintaining the hotel’s iconic Parisian features while still providing contemporary touches. The building, from the post Hausmann era, dates back to 1913. This week, we’ll talk to local editor and Paris expert Natasha Edwards about the hotel’s architecture and its defining feature, a glass ceiling in the restaurant created by the famed Gustave Eiffel.

This week on Travel Today with Peter Greenberg, Peter sits down with Jane Adamik, Mistress of the Lido Ballet, who discusses the history of the Lido and how she became a Bluebell girl herself. Then, those looking for an unusual experience on their travels can enjoy Nabil Harlow’s new venture. The hairstylist to the stars has created a business taking celebrity-style makeovers directly to guests’ rooms! All that and more this week from Hôtel Vernet.
