Bhava Ram: Yoga teacher, Author, Musician, and Vedic Therapist

Bhava Ram is a former NBC News war correspondent who worked throughout the world, including the Gulf War, Afghanistan, Africa, South America and Asia.

A broken back and failed surgery ended his career. Then came a diagnosis of stage four cancer. He ultimately healed himself through the sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda.

Bhava is the founder of the Deep Yoga School of Healing Arts, a Vedic Therapist, teacher, lecturer, and performing artist. He now devotes his life to sharing the miracle of self- healing with others, believing fully that we all have the inherent power to take charge of our destiny, heal ourselves and effect lasting personal transformation in our lives. He leads Mastery of Life and Mastery Teacher Trainings at Ginseng Yoga Studio in San Diego and leads retreats, workshops, seminars and trainings worldwide. Ram teaches at Kripalu and Yoga Journal Conferences, plus does keynote talks for medical universities and international executive groups.

Bhava Ram is the author of the highly acclaimed new memoir, Warrior Pose, How Yoga Literally Saved My Life, which details his journey from war correspondent to healer. Ram’s previous two books are The 8 Limbs of Yoga, Pathway to Liberation, and Deep Yoga, Ancient Wisdom for Modern Times. He has also produced and performed musical albums in the yoga tradition and CDs for meditation and healing.

Bhava is a graduate of the Kerala Ayurveda Academy and certified as an Advanced Yoga & Ayurveda Educator through the American Institute of Vedic Studies (AIVS). He is registered with the Yoga Alliance at the highest EYT-500 level.
