Ms. Sharnae Lathan talks about her life, challenges and dealing with being raped, drugged and abused by her father for 18yrs. Sharnae says “I was raped, beaten, drugged and brainwashed by my father for eighteen years. I repressed my memories unaware of my childhood trauma. This protected me from the traumatic experiences my mind did not want to recall. It did not protect my siblings from this same danger. My father used his intelligence to enslave my siblings and I in his illusion. As he grew his million dollar empire built on lies, scams and deception, I sought therapy. As I worked thru my repressed memories, I unraveled the truth. I realized what was to be feared most would be my silence. I made my report on Thanksgiving Day 2012, and every day I grow stronger. Every day my voice becomes louder.
