Dr. Wafeeq Sabir is a recognized scholar practitioner of law enforcement for over 23 years. He is a published author and researcher on the topics of community policing, social dominance, and gang violence. He is the CEO/President of Sasuco Consultants; a consulting firm that provides gang and juvenile violence assessments and training, expert witness testimony, and adolescent counseling. His services extend to school districts, corporate professionals, district attorney offices, research institutions, and the U.S. military. He also serves on several committees regarding juvenile justice reform, gang intervention, religion, and diversity. He has been interviewed on numerous radio programs and on several major television programs including Trinity Broadcasting Network, Nickelodeon, and ESPN. He is a long standing supporter of the Boys and Girls Clubs, Women’s Safe Haven, Safe City Commission, and Amnesty International. He conducts over 150 presentations yearly on gang and juvenile violence and is tasked with educational development of gang literature for the Fort Worth Police Department. He is a sociology professor at Tarrant County College and holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management, a Master of Arts in Psychology/Sociology, and a PhD in Criminal Justice.
