Dr. Karen Sherman

Dr. Karen Sherman, PHD in psychology, specializes in relationships.  She visited the Segment to share sound professional advice on not only developing relationships with others, but also improving relationships with self.

She emphasizes these points:

  1.  Relationships require “work”
  2. Fantasy is the expectation that love alone will build strong, lasting, healthy relationships
  3. The key to going into any relationship is entering the relationship with the right set of expectations

This interview was one of the most interesting conversations I have had with anyone during two seasons of hosting “The Segment”.  Dr. Sherman’s knowledge and expertise is not only extensive, but also applicable to every human being I know.  Her guidance is realistic, relevant, and valuable to anyone who takes a few minutes to listen to her interview. Awesome discussion!

“What makes room for a good relationship.”  Dr. Karen’s answer, “Respect & Trust.”  What are the examples of respect and trust discussed in the interview?  Listen to find out.

Her book, “Mindfulness and the Art of Choice:  Transform Your Life” is a trustworthy resource for those seeking the answers to improving personal (self) and interpersonal relationships with others.
