Good morning, today on The Meter, we will cover the astonishing election results as Democrats exceeded expectations in the midterms holding onto Senate control by winning in PA, AZ, and NV. GA heads to a runoff on Dec 6th as neither candidate achieved 50% of of the vote. The House is still too close to call with Republicans narrowly leading with 20 in balance. Republicans need 7 of the remaining seats to take the lower chamber. Excuses, finger-pointing, and accusations are plentiful in the Republican underperformance not excluding former President Trump. Pundits criticized his endorsement of Dr. Oz in particular which lost to John Fetterman in Pennsylvania. Trump is expected to announce his 2024 presidential run this Saturday. The Red Wave however, did occur in Florida where Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Marco Rubio won by wide margins, as did Gov. Kemp in GA and Gov. Abbott in TX. The big DeSantis win prompted speculation about presidential aspirations. Donald Trump noticed the Florida Governor's victory with a post that he received more votes in FL in 2020. Is there a changing of the guard in the Republican Party and what happened to the expected Red Wave? In other news, a federal judge struck down Joe Biden's student loan bailout saying it's unconstitutional. In a news conference, Biden says he is not changing anything in his administration despite 75% of the people saying the country is on the wrong track? How will the election results affect life in America for the next two years? Please join the discussion at 10AM. The call-in number is 347-308-8933. Your input is essential.
