Trump's transition steaming forward!

Good morning, today on The Meter we will discuss the latest in the transition of President-elect Donald Trump's administration. Democrats are up in arms about Trump's choice for Secretary of Defense, Retired General James "Mad Dog" Mattis. Mattis will be the first military man to hold the post since General George Marshall in 1950. General Mattis will need special approval for the requirement being out of uniform for 7 years. Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro died, November 25th as Little Havana in Miami, celebrated the dawn of a new age of hope on the island. The current President of Cuba, Raul Castro, the brother of Fidel Castro, declared a week of mourning for the revolutionary. US president Barack Obama expressed his condolences to the people of Cuba admidst criticism from Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, both Cuban-Americans. Obama reestablished diplomatic ties with Cuba last year a move criticized by President-elect Donald Trump. Trump said that he may revoke Obama'a deal once inaugurated. On the American home front, protesters and rioters have taken aim at the American flag over the election of Donald Trump. The President-elect said supports jail time and possible renunciation of citizenship for flag burning. Carrier announced that it will remain in America saving 1100 jobs at the insistence of Donald Trump.Also, in Charlotte, NC police officer Brentley Vinson was cleared of any wrong doing in the killing of Keith Scott. The incident was recorded by Mr. Scott's family. A press conference held by District Attorney, R. Andrew Murray, showed several videos of Mr. Scott wielding a firearm. Protests followed the decision.
