TOAS presents Jazz Artist and Drummer, D German

"Blessed" is the word D German would use to describe his journey in life. Never having an easy time in school, D (Dominique) German, persevered and completed a bachelor of science degree in counseling from the College Of Biblical Studies last year.

D began to fall in love with music from a very young age and has been studying music for most of his life. "I just knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life -- music", he said at the age of 11. He grew up loving all kinds of music but was particularly interested in jazz. In the 6th grade he began to play in the jazz band at his school and never stop playing or studying the genre. Now as an adult he plays for a variety of artists and is also an instructor for students playing the instrument fell in love with in his youth, the drums.
