AIDS – God’s Punishment for Black People?

AIDS has been a plague upon humanity to some degree for roughly 30 years now.  In those 30 years medical science has made great strides in the prevention and treatment of the disease.  Methods of prevention are easily available and are very simple.  Abstain from sex, use condoms and don’t share needles.  This being the case, it is very puzzling that this affliction continues to rise in the Black community in the United States of America.  In fact the HIV/AIDS rate among African Americans rivals and maybe surpasses the HIV/AIDS rate among some of Africa’s poorest countries.  Why is this happening in the wealthiest country in the world?  Is the disease’s high rate among Blacks due to some racist diabolical plot?  Or is there some other cause that is not apparent?
